Who are we?

The cetovimutti-theravā Site supports Christina Garbe with her dhammawork. It supports also the Cetovimutti Forum guided by Christina Garbe, only available for registered members. The purpose of this Site is that yogis can find information about her dhammawork and the retreats, events and other activities Christina gives.

Inge J. Ferguson as webmaster takes technical care of this website (managing and hosting in the Netherlands). The content is composed by Christina Garbe. She takes full responsibility for the content of the articles published on this website, except for the menu point 'Society'. The content for the menu point 'Society' is composed by Edith Obrusnik and Ulrike Dörfler. With them alone is the responsibility for what is published here.

We, the cetovimutti-Theravā Site, are classed under the GDPR regulations as a data controller. That means we decide how your personal data we receive is processed and for what purposes.

  • When you sign up to register for membership of the Cetovimutti Forum on our website (your name, email address and IP address),

  • When you place an order (to send books & brochures and articles written by Christina Garbe) on our website, so that we can process the delivery (your name, address, email address),
  • When you book for an event or retreat so that we can process your application (your name, address, email address, phone number and some personal information),
  • When you apply for any courses, so we can process your application (your name, address, email address, phone number).

Who has access to your information?

The data you may send us are only used by the persons who are responsible for the processing of your request. All members of our group are committed to discretion and confidentiality and working according to data protection regulations. Is this process finished, the data will be deleted. Your request is treated confidentially.

Our website is hosted by Whirlwind Internet in The Netherlands. The webmaster of the Site and Whirlwind Internet ( have signed an official contract, a processor agreement web hosting, confirming that whirlwind company follows the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”).


Mailing – Newsletter

We use the ‘AcyMailing’ software (‘AcyMailing’) to deliver our newsletters. ‘AcyMailing’ is not a third party provider. It is located on our own protected database.
We may collect and process the following data, only with explicit consent from you, to send you the newsletters with information about upcoming retreats, events and other activities: your name, email address, subscription date and IP, confirmation date and IP).

To subscribe to our list you can use the ‘AcyMailing’ registration form on the Site with an opt-in checkbox conform the GPDR rules or send an email to
To unsubscribe there is included an unsubscribe link, and also in our newsletter so you can easily opt-out. You can also send an email to with your request to be deleted of the mailing list.

‘AcyMailing’ only collects global statistics, anonymous data (it won't collect the detailed opens and clicks, the geolocation...etc.) because we don't want to track your user activities.

The data you may send us are only used for the processing of your request. It will be treated confidentially. We don’t transfer, rent or trade email lists with other organizations and business.


Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that they are treated securely.

The website is protected with:

  • SSL encryption; when you are on a secure page, a lock icon will appear on web browsers.
  • Akeeba Admin Tools pro: make use of session-cookies, functional cookies to protect our site against the vast majority of common attacks, protect against common file injection attacks, block access to security-sensitive files and we use the ‘two-step verification’.

All data are deleted after having finished the process of your request. This means for example in case of an event, that after the event (f. ex. retreat) your data will be deleted. Only in case you wish to be informed about the dhamma-activities of Christina Garbe, your name and email-address will be saved.
